Pretend food play- Felt sandwich

I was looking in our box of recycling goodies for inspiration and came across some sponge. This was flat and immediately made me think of bread. So I set to work making Little Boo a pretend sandwich with felt fillings.  I did this a while ago with Little Boo but due to the success of the sponge cakes thought that many of you may like this idea as well. It was really simple to make and could be made more difficult but I love the simplicity of just cutting the felt adding a few details with marker then it was ready .

Little Boo loves playing with it especially as I have made the cheese like grated cheese (obviously this would not be a good idea for children who tend to still put things in their mouths but Little Boo is fine) she enjoyed sprinkling!  Little Boo was taking orders for her sandwiches discussing what we wanted.
