Cubes of treasure

I have been thinking of creative ways to use ice cubes as Little Boo really enjoyed playing with the colour ones. Then I considered freezing things inside the ice cubes for Little Boo to find and match up with images.    This is how it went....

I made the ice cubes the same way as last time so that the treasure could not be seen

All the items that were in the treasure cubes

Little Boo adding them to water.
The searching then began

and items were matched to the cards

Once they were all found she enjoyed playing with the water as well.

This was great fun to play and incorporates colour recognition, sorting into colours and encourages conversation over what has been found or left to be found.

    1. Thank you for stopping by to comment I am glad that you like the idea. The cards were an after thought but they were really helpful especially to help learn colours.
